Bean-sprout and Sesame Salad

A quick and healthy warm salad with Asian flavours
Ingredients - Serves 4
  • 225 g bean sprouts
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup carrot, chopped
  • ¼ cup green capsicum (bell pepper), chopped, optional
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil or any other oil
  • 1 clove (2-3 g) of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or coriander, chopped
  • 1 tsp white or brown sugar, optional
  • Soy sauce, to taste
Steps
  1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the sesame seeds till slightly brown
  2. Add garlic, onions, other vegetables and saute for 1 minute
  3. Take off the heat and add bean sprouts, parsley or coriander and season with soy sauce
  4. Serve warm
