Cabbage and Tofu Wontons

Healthy, filling and quick - these wontons are great fried or steamed or boiled in soups
Ingredients - Makes 25
  • 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup tofu, finely chopped
  • 1 small red chilli, finely chopped, optional
  • 1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 25 wonton wrappers
  1. Mix the ginger, cabbage, tofu and red chilli together in a small bowl
  2. On each wonton wrapper, place a small amount of the filling in the centre
  3. Run a wet finger along all the edges of the square wonton wrapper
  4. Fold to make a triangle and seal well. You can use them like this or fold the bottom two corners of the triangle over each other and make a pocket
  5. Deep fry in hot oil, or steam them and serve hot with soy sauce
  6. You can also simmer them in a thin soup until cooked and serve
