Ingredients - Serves 4
- 250 g tomatoes, chopped
- 1½ cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 50 g butter
- 2½ cups vegetable stock or water
- ground black pepper
- Salt, to taste
Steps
- Melt the butter in a large, nonstick pot
- Add the tomatoes and tomato puree and cook till they are soft
- Add the rice and fry for 2 minutes on medium heat
- Pour in the stock, add salt and black pepper and cook covered till the rice is done
- Serve with {Etli Taze Fasulye} or any other similar Turkish side dish
