Etli Taze Fasulye

This is a quick side dish made with green beans or any similar fresh beans, cooked with tomatoes
Ingredients - Serves 4-6
  • 250 g green beans or french beans, cut into 1" lengths
  • 1 medium-sized (or 200 g) onion, chopped
  • 2 large (or 400 g) tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tbsp tomato puree, optional
  • 1 tsp pul biber or red chilli flakes, optional
  • ground black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
Steps
  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Fry onions till they are soft and translucent
  2. Add the tomatoes and tomato puree and cook till soft
  3. Add the green beans, pul biber (red chilli flakes), salt and black pepper. Mix well, cover and cook till the beans are soft
  4. Serve with {Domatesli Pirinc Pilavi} or any similar pilaf
