Spritz Cookies

Sweet butter cookies
Ingredients - Makes around 30 cookies
  • 240 g unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 120 g white sugar
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups plain flour, sifted
  • ΒΌ tsp salt
  1. Preheat oven to 180C/350F. Butter two baking sheets and chill them until use
  2. Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract and mix well. Add flour and salt and beat to get a dough
  3. Spoon some of the dough into a cookie press and using a design of your choice, press cookies onto the baking sheets. You can also pipe the cookies onto the sheet
  4. Bake the cookies for 10-15 minutes or until the edges are just tinged with brown
  5. Remove from oven and transfer onto a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container
