Ingredients - Makes around 30 cookies
- 240 g unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 120 g white sugar
- 2 large egg yolks
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups plain flour, sifted
- ΒΌ tsp salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 180C/350F. Butter two baking sheets and chill them until use
- Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract and mix well. Add flour and salt and beat to get a dough
- Spoon some of the dough into a cookie press and using a design of your choice, press cookies onto the baking sheets. You can also pipe the cookies onto the sheet
- Bake the cookies for 10-15 minutes or until the edges are just tinged with brown
- Remove from oven and transfer onto a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container
