Ras-El-Hanout

A basic spice blend used very commonly in North African cuisine
Ingredients - Makes about 1/2 cup
  • 2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground dry ginger
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1½ tsp paprika
  • 1½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp ground green cardamom
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 1½ tsp sugar
Steps
  1. Mix all the ingredients and store in an airtight container at room temperature
